Fangda Group Northern Heavy Industries: Innovation driven Development Creating a new benchmark for bulk material handling equipment
In the current era of booming equipment manufacturing industry, Northern Heavy Industries Group Co., Ltd. Technological Innovation: Leading the Industry in a New Direction
Technological innovation is the core engine for the development of NHI, with multiple achievements reaching the international leading level, opening up new paths for industry progress.
In 2024, the key technology and complete set of equipment for the transportation and mixing of anti-seepage soil materials for the ultra-high earth and rock dam of Shuangjiangkou Hydropower Station, independently developed by NHI, completed the national scientific and technological achievement evaluation, and the main performance indicators reached international leadership. In the automatic blending system of this project, NHI has successfully overcome multiple technical challenges. The advanced intelligent control technology adopted can accurately control the concrete mix ratio error within ±1%; The independently developed intelligent scheduling algorithm can automatically adjust the mixing ratio according to construction needs, greatly improving construction efficiency. This project has achieved significant results, with 11 authorized invention patents and also led the development of 1 group standard, greatly improving the level of scientific research and innovation in the enterprise.
The 65 meters large-span, fully explosion-proof, multi machine common rail intelligent fully enclosed coal material yard bridge scraper reclaimer and gantry scraper reclaimer developed by NHI have won the Excellent Award in the 2nd National Machinery Industry Product Quality Innovation Competition of the "Heli Cup". The project includes two cantilever rotary stackers, two ultra long span bridge scraper reclaimers, and two ultra long span gantry scraper reclaimers. The project is a fully enclosed coal material yard, with strict requirements for explosion prevention of electrical components, acquisition of gas and water sources, and dry mist dust suppression.
In a cement clinker high-temperature resistant conveyor line project in Huzhou, a new type of high-temperature resistant conveyor belt material developed by NHI can operate stably in a high temperature environment of 300℃. This equipment was put into use in September 2018 and is a complete set of belt conveyor equipment independently designed, manufactured, and debugged in China. It has 21 belt conveyors with a total length of 22.331 kilometers and an annual conveying capacity of 10.5 million tons. At the same time, the intelligent monitoring system developed by the project team has achieved real-time monitoring and fault warning of the operation status of the conveyor line, ensuring production safety.

Major Project: Showcasing Strong Corporate Strength
Major projects are the "touchstone" of NHI' strength. In multiple projects, the company has demonstrated strong technical capabilities and the ability to respond to complex challenges.
In the MPGC project, the bridge scraper reclaimer independently developed by NHI has a span of 65 meters and a single machine processing capacity of 6000 tons/hour. The project team has broken through technical bottlenecks such as large-scale structural component manufacturing and high-precision installation, achieving high stability operation and low failure rate of equipment. Its successful operation marks China's leap to an international leading position in the field of large-scale bulk material processing equipment.
The Shuangjiangkou Hydropower Station project is located on a plateau, facing the environmental characteristics of low pressure and large temperature difference between day and night. The NHI project team has specially designed the equipment to ensure stable and reliable operation of the system in areas above 3000 meters above sea level, providing valuable experience for engineering construction in similar plateau environments.
The cement project in Huzhou reflects the professional level of NHI in the field of special conveying. The project team has developed a unique cooling system based on the high-temperature characteristics of cement clinker, which keeps the surface temperature of the conveyor belt within a safe range. By optimizing the layout of the conveyor line, reducing the number of material transfers, lowering dust pollution, and achieving green production.
