Fangda Group NHI: Redouble Efforts Upon Reform, Successfully Produced Numbers of Tunneling Boring Machine
At the end of the year, Fangda Group NHI has pressed the "fast forward key" of project organization and production, and a number of shield machines have been produced successively. China Railway 12th Bureau Group, China Railway 4th Bureau Group and other units have come to the NHI to check and accept the equipment. Leaders of relevant units have given affirmation to the shield machine produced by NHI, and the machine passed the acceptance smoothly before delivery. With comparing the standards from the industry advanced enterprises, NHI communicated and optimize design, strengthen product quality control, combined with on-site feedback, boosted Shenyang Metro Line 2 south extension project, showed the role of NHI as " The Pillars of a Great Power", and made greater contributions to the development and construction of domestic underground space.
Strengthen Production Scheduling and Effectively Organize Production

After the two TBM manufactured by Fangda Group NHI for the Taizhou Project arrived at the construction site successfully, with the style of continuous fighting and not afraid of hardship, the employees of NHI made concerted efforts to tackle key problems and ensure the timely delivery of the products.
In order to grasp the progress and ensure the delivery time of products, the company has promoted the production organization work of key projects in an orderly manner, carefully planned and organized, and reasonably arranged and scheduled the production. The employees engaged in the production line have also taken the initiative to give up their vacations and devote themselves to the production work. Since each branch has carried out the labor competition with the theme of "improving labor efficiency by improving production capacity during the maintenance period", the processing and production time records were continuously refreshed, production efficiency continued to be improved. NHI not only reduced costs, increased efficiency and improved work efficiency to find solutions, but also strengthened production quality management in the first working place to solid focus on the quality of efficiency results. Optimizing Equipment Greatly Improves Efficiency
On November 9th, 2020, China Railway 12th Bureau Group Company carried out factory acceptance for the earth pressure balance shield tunneling machine of Shenyang Metro 12th Bureau Project. The earth pressure balance shield machine of this project was a new product independently developed and designed by NHI. The total length of this equipment is about 90 meters. Based on the standard shield machine, six aspects such as excavation diameter, rated torque of main drive and screw conveyor have been optimized accrodingly.
During the acceptance, the experts and technicians of China Railway 12th Bureau Group Co., Ltd conducted group acceptance of each system of the equipment in the final assembly workshop. The screw conveyor, segment erector and propulsion system were accepted dynamically, and the control system, electrical and hydraulic equipment and other equipment were carefully checked. The cutter and foam injection were observed, and the other relevant personnel inspected each system item by item according to the equipment acceptance procedure. Meanwhile, combined with the rich site construction experience of China Railway 12th Bureau Group, NHI put forward some reasonable suggestions for the equipment, hoping that the equipment can be better combined with the construction site, improved the underground work efficiency, and better guaranteed the site construction service.
The equipment will be used in the construction of the south extension of Shenyang Metro Line 2 in the future. The southern extension project of Shenyang Metro Line 2 is the connecting hub from Taoxian Airport to the downtown area. It starts from Quanyun Road Station, the southern terminus of the current Metro Line 2. The terminal is located near Terminal T3 of Taoxian Airport, all of them are underground lines with a total length of about 14.2 km. The machine would provide a strong boost for the tunnel construction of the section of the south extension of Shenyang Metro Line 2 "Gaoshen East Road Station to Quanyunsan Road Station".
A Number of Optimization Design to Create a New Generation of Products
The party of China Railway No.4 Engineering Bureau Group Company carried out factory acceptance for the earth pressure balance shield tunneling machine of Shenyang subway project and passed the factory acceptance smoothly on the same day. This equipment was a new product independently developed and designed by NHI. A number of optimization designs have been carried out on the basis of the standard shield machine to create a new generation of products. As the shield tunneling machine of the 12th Bureau of Shenyang Metro Project, the new machine would appear in the construction of the south extension project of Shenyang Metro Line 2 in the future, and the new machine will provide a strong boost for the tunnel construction of the south extension project of Shenyang Metro Line 2 together with the equipment of the 12th Bureau. Expert leaders and technical personnel of China Railway Fourth Bureau conducted group acceptance of each system of the equipment, carefully checked the cutter, foam injection, screw conveyor expansion, segment erector rotation, propulsion cylinder expansion and other equipment mechanical performance, as well as the control system, electrical and hydraulic equipment. The after-sales commissioning personnel accompanied the technical personnel of China Railway Fourth Bureau to inspect each system item by item according to the equipment acceptance procedure.
